He has worked on major projects for a wide number of satellite operators, service providers, telecoms carriers and broadcasters, both in Europe and the United States. He is acknowledged as a guru in his field.

Historically, Stanyard was former owner and editor of Interspace and Satcoms Insider newsletters and organised the informal UK body for satellite business executives and professionals, the Satellite Industry Lunch Club.

Stanyard’s business has been offering professional level news and information and analysis on satellite communications since 1983. DTT Consulting has associates in London and Washington DC.

He is widely known in Europe and the USA as an expert in his area of specialisation and frequently presents papers at conferences. He holds a degree in economics from the University of London, and an MBA from Cranfield Institute of Technology and a postgraduate Diploma in Finance.
